| Event Description: | The Royal Aeronautical Society is delighted to invite11-14 year-olds and their teachers to join us at our FREE, Space-themed event we are holding on Tuesday 7 October, at our beautiful headquarters building, No.4Hamilton Place, London W1J 7BQ, in celebration of World Space Week and this year's President's Conference,Strategic Choices for Space. 'Over the Moon' will feature a fantastic programme ofinteractive talks and fun activities. One highlight of the day will be an ‘Audience with an Astronaut’: DrLeroy Chiao, NASA Human Spaceflight Advisor and former astronaut, and member of the Space Foundation, willjoin us specially via Skype for a one-hour talk and Q&A with the students. We will also look at the UK Space Industry and fantastic opportunities and growth that it will offer the next generation of engineering pioneers with talks from: Reaction Engines | Surrey Satellites (SSTL) | CGI | Royal Air Force This will be a fantastic day that will inspire young people about the growing career opportunities that space will bring and how important STEM subjects are atGCSE and beyond.
