| Event Description: | During 2 full days days of exciting activities the pupils of St Mary's school will be exploring the wonders of space. Led by space expert Jerry Stone from Spaceflight UK, they will tour the solar system, finding out about the planets, and just how many we really have! They will discover how rockets work before making their own and launching off towards Mars. Their next task will be to design and build a lander that will allow a payload to touch down safely. As a finale, there will be demonstration air rocket launchings that all pupils and parents are invited to watch. This will be a fantastic way to celebrate World Space Week and to inspire pupils to follow the STEM subjects. |
