| Event Description: | To celebrate UN World Space Week we're launching a Design a Spaceship competition. All you need to do is to draw and label a spaceship. Your design must include the following: 1. A way to slow down, speed up, or change direction of the space ship 2. A way to get a supply of electric power 3. Instruments for scientific experiments or a way to take pictures, such as a camera 4. A way to communicate with Earth Competition rules: The Design a Spaceship Competition is open to anyone aged 7 and above. Your drawing must be your own work. Pictures can be submitted in hard copy to Settle Stories, Town Hall, Market Place, Settle BD24 9EJ or emailed to info@settlestories.org.uk. Entries must not: Contain material which is offensive or promotes illegal activity (e.g. underage drinking, substance abuse, computer hacking, etc.) Include mention or performance of any copyrighted media production including but not limited to music, films, books, television programming, etc., or identifying descriptions of any media property. Have been previously submitted to or broadcast in any recorded media. Judging criteria The winning entires will be the one who in the judge's view fulfils the design criteria in the most imaginative way. The competition will be judged by Mars One Applicants Ryan McDonald and Hannah Earnshaw. The Judges decision in final. Prizes Signed photo print of Neil Armstrong Mars One Merchandise.
