| Event Description: | There will be information about: •Tim Peake’s mission to the International Space Station (our first British astronaut) which takes place in November 2015 •a free ‘Kids in Space Show’ coming to Thanet soon •Mission X ‘train like an astronaut’ •Pfizer Ltd will launch 'space lab in a box' and explain how you can borrow this resource for use in your school enabling you to download data from a FUNcube satellite. Also: •a model satellite, telescopes and a solar filter to look at courtesy of Monkton Stargazers from the Thanet observatory. •many ideas and free materials to take away for use in the classroom. •an opportunity to network with science coordinators from other primary schools in Thanet. This is an ESERO (European Space Education Resource Office) approved event with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) materials from the Space Conference –the Primary Frontier. 4.30pm -6pm |
