Event Description:  History changed on October 4, 1957 and the space race began! Now, almost 60 years later, space technology and travel is reaching limits we had once never thought possible. Join us to launch the beginning of World Space Week, with special activities in the Exhibit Hall including making your own star charts. 10 am - 4 pm PLUS - Enjoy the popular 1999 film October Sky, telling the story of NASA engineer Homer Hickam. It runs in the planetarium at 10:30 am, 12:30 pm, 2:30 pm, 4:30 pm, and 6:30 pm. Activities included with Exhibit Hall admission. October Sky admission: $5 (ages 3 and older), $2 Science Factory members
