| Event Name: | Solar Observation |
| Event Description: | We will be setting up Pakistan's largest H-alpha solar telescope (152mm Lunt) for viewing the chromosphere and an apochromatic refractor with Herschel wedge that will show the solar photosphere. The event is scheduled to LAST 3 hours in which over 300 students, faculty members and staff from all departments will be participating. The solar observation will go side by side with the distribution of free solar glasses (and info graphics / handouts) to the participants. Handheld peepholes that split the light of the Sun into all 7 colours will also be available for free distribution. The event will begin at 10 am sharp. Hope to see you there! |
