| Event Description: | A Step Beyond: Art & Imagination at the Edge of Space Celebrate World Space Week by stepping into the first living room on Mars. “A Step Beyond” is an immersive art installation and speaker series designed to ignite curiosity about our future as a multiplanetary species. Experience the Future: Mars Colony Living Room: Explore a life-sized recreation of a Mars habitat living room—complete with walls adorned by luminous paintings inspired by the challenges and wonder of space settlement. Discover what future settlers might choose to keep the human spirit alive so far from Earth. Space Themed Art - To promote wonder and exploration of our world and beyond. Expert Space Talks (Sat, Oct 4): • 1:00 PM – Dr. Douglas C. Leonard, SDSU: “The Stars and Living in Space” • 3:00 PM – Dr. Gerardo Dominguez, CSUSM: “Worlds Beyond Our Own” Engage with leading astronomers and learn about the science, technology, and dreams driving our exploration of the cosmos.
