| Report on the Results: | World Space Week 2016_Space Adhyaan_Hyderabad_India Space adhyaan thanks all the teachers,principals & students community especially who came out in large numbers.We are totally amazed at the turnout of 6000 visitors for our program.Hon'ble Union minister Sri.Bandaru Dattatreya,Hon'ble MLA C Ramachandra Reddy & Dy.Director SDSC P.Selvaraj were Chief Guests and graced the occasion.Space adhyaan thanks everyone for the support given and making this world space week celebration a successful one. Spaceadhyaan has conducted the quiz and drawing competition for students from grade 5 to 10 as a part of world space week celebrations -2016.Preliminary round was conducted on October 1st in 2 phases.In each phase around 175 students had participated.So,a total of 350 students had participated. For all these students,space adhyaan has asked them to come on 7th october & 8th October for the final round of quiz. World space week has been conducted successfully with huge crowed ( more then 6000) and participation of students in quiz and drawing competition, from various schools On 7th October around 150 students have participated in quiz and 8th around 50 had turned up for final rounds.These final round quiz question paper have been set by eminent scientists of SDSC SHAR. Quiz papers were corrected by Spaceadhyaan team on behalf of ISRO and around 3 first prize,3 second prize,3 third prize and consolation prize were given by the directors of SDSC and NRSC during valedictory function on 8th October 2016.Space adhyaan were able to mobilise crowd by all means even during Dussera vacation and make this program being co-host with ISRO a successful one. It was great honor to share dais with such a great personalities (NRSC Director , Dr.Y.V.N.Krishna Murthy), (SDSC SHAR Director, P.Kunhikrishnan ), (Deputy Director, General Doorrdarshan Dr.D.Ranganatham )and Director ,BM BirlaScience Center Dr.B.G.Sidharth). Valedictory function was conducted on 8th October at Birla science centre,Hyderabad where ISRO NRSC Director Sri.YVN Krishnamurthy,has delivered his speech about remote sensing operations.Remote sensing being the main theme for WSW-2016, His explanations about how remote sensing helps for general people & our farmers and also about bhuvan sat etc., really helped the audience in understanding the importance of Space technology very clearly thereby Director of NRSC has given bunch of knowledge regarding remote sensing for our audience. |
