| Event Name: | Calling All Future Scientists! |
| Event Description: | This year for World Space Week we have a range of activities for budding scientists perfect for students considering STEM/STEAM careers. On Monday 3rd of October and Thursday 6th October we will be hosting a panel of scientists from engineers, oceanographers, computer programmers and astronomers where students can interact and ask questions about these job roles and what they entail. Interacting with professionals in different STEM careers will give students an insight into these roles and how to get there. This event could help to encourage young minds to look at careers in the STEM/STEAM area and particularly in Northern Ireland and the UK. Over the past few years there has been a considerable amount of money put into the UK Space Industry and we want to highlight to students the importance of Science careers that can lead into the space industry and more. This could also show students what is available at their doorstep with a range of speakers from across Northern Ireland and the UK working in STEM companies. |
