Event Description:  The moon has long inspired curiosity and wonder. It is deeply woven into narratives about beauty and love, goddesses and warriors, time and the endless cycle of life as well as death. Also, the moon continues to hold a special place in modern history as the only extraterrestrial body to have been visited by humans. But do we really know our moon? Join Jim Adams, to find out how the moon was formed, what we have learned about the moon from NASA’s Gravity Recovery Interior Laboratory (GRAIL) and Lunar Renaissance Obiter (LRO) missions, and what the current ideas are about future exploration of the moon.
