| Report on the Results: | A star party was organized in the school on 7th Oct where the Astronomy Club members of IV & V classes. Students came accompanied with their parents for this evening session to the school. Students and parents attended a basic theory class in the school auditorium, where they all learnt about Moon and other planets. Theory session was then followed by practical class, for which these students were divided in three small groups and they were taken to the playground area. Here they learnt in a play-way method- about the phases of moon and how craters are formed on the surface of moon. Later on, all present got an opportunity to view Moon, Jupiter and Mars with the help of powerful telescopes, which were put up in the school playground. They also got an opportunity to view with naked eyes an artificial satellite which happened to pass over at that time. Students and their parents got an opportunity to locate constellations which were visible at the time. They viewed Vega star which was visible at the time. |
