| Event Description: | On the occasion of World Space Week, Mr.Sachin Bahmba, CMD SPACE inaugurated World Space Week 2016 at SRM University, Chennai on 4th October 2016. He also gave a guest lecture on “Remote Sensing”, the theme of World Space Week 2016. The inauguration was followed by a live chat session with Dr. Sanath Kumar Sathyachandran, South Dakota State University. Mr. Sachin Bahmba presented a 50mm telescope to Dr. R. Vasudevan, Head of the Dept. Aerospace Engineering, SRM University. Mr. Bahmba gave a brief session on assembly of the telescope and explained the audience how to use the telescope. |

| Report on the Results: | The students were educated on the importance and applications of remote sensing. The university has also decided to conduct a telescope making workshop in the third week of October. The university has requested a star gazing session during the World Space Week. |
