| Event Description: | Space day in Dar Alfikr took place on the 15th of October. It was planned by the science department using the help of the activity department. The event was targeting the middle schoolers with the help of some juniors. It was a gallery for the projects, a stage show from the juniors, a game show done by the teachers, and an educating show to the students. The aim of this event was to educate middle school student about space in coordination with the international space week. All student were asked to wear something related to the theme, and some of them had alien like makeup or galaxy makeup. Miss. Khan started the event by showing a video about the concept of space and space exploration. After the video she started quizzing the student on their previous and newly gained knowledge. Then a few short segments took place. Shortly after, a group of talented rappers from the eleventh grade stole away the stage rapping about the solar system. That wrapped up the stage event, and student proceeded to the gallery section. Each group took place behind their project explaining to everyone who passed them what their project is. Most projects were about the planets, the stars, space exploration, and space suits. Some groups brought treats to the audience from cupcakes. Cake pops, and even cookies. |
