| Event Description: | The session of Basics of Rocketry and Construction of Rockets was held at Sacred Heart Convent School, Sarabha Nagar, Ludhiana on October 15, 2016 at 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. In the session the students will get to know about various parts of rocket and their roles. The students will learn about the laws of newton and how rocket launch depends on these laws. Students would be making their own rockets by using bottles. |

| Report on the Results: | The session of Basics of Rocketry and Construction of Rockets was held at Sacred Heart Convent School, Sarabha Nagar, Ludhiana on October 15, 2016. Around 30 students took part in this session where they learnt basic concepts related to rocketry. Various parts of the rocket, Nose cone, Payload, Command module, Cylindrical Body, Fins, Nozzle were explained to students along with their shapes and function. Students got to know the reason behind sending rockets to the space. They learnt why buses, cars, scooter, ship cant go to space. They learnt three laws of Newton with the help of live examples. They applied newtons third law on rocket launch and learnt how launch happens. They made their own rockets with the help of bottles and paper made fins and cones. To adjust the centre of mass the clay was used and fixed inside the cone. |
