| Report on the Results: | Report on Talk on Space on 09.10.09 As a part of World Space Week celebration, a talk was organised on the concept of Time in the premises of Amity International School,Saket, New Delhi. Module I students from standard VI,VII,VIII participated in the said session. A well equipped computer laboratory was provided to us and along with this an area having direct sunlight was provided in order to conduct the required experiments for the session. It was an interesting session, students were actively participating in the session. A session included concept of importance of time,sun dial ativity, Local Solar Time(LST), Indian Standard Time(IST), equation of time, Greenwich Mean Time(GMT),Time Zones,Solar day, Sidereal day. The session is having number of activities in between that breaks the monotony and keep students active throughout the session. In nutshell, a session followed learning by doing approach. |
