| Event Description: | THE STUDENTS FROM OUR SCHOOL ASTRONOMY CLUB PRESENT TO OTHER CHILDREN THEIR OWN MADE DIGITAL ASTRONOMY MATERIALS: WEB-SITES, ASTRONOMY MULTIPLE CHOISE TESTS, ASTROPHYSICS DICTIONARY, PHOTO-ASTRONOMY ALBUM, SHORT VIDEO IN WHICH THEY PRESENT THE EVOLUTION OF DISCOVERIES IN SPACE AND LET OPEN FOR SOME DAYS AN EXPOSITION WITH ALL THESE. My students made an on-line Science walk in the UNIVERSE presenting their science-web(physics and astronomy).They present and show to the audience their studies which content: Sattelite Transmission, Climate, Astrophysics, Test your knowledge(multiple choise astronomy tests composed by children) and Video-content four short wmv realized by my students in which they make a history and evolution of ten years of discoveries in SPACE(UNIVERSE)-from craters of Mercury(Eminescu crater) to ISS Asembly Mission(with Space shuttle Discovery, Space shuttle Endeavour and Atlantis) to Galileo Mission. This event was a really succesful one as we saw adults listen with such attention the children presentations of their science works. | Report on the Results: | All the parallel activities were with a great impact for younger children as were sustain by the students from upper level in our Communication High School.Was a very open activity -as discussions, questions asked by kids, very documented answers offer by my students (they make a science web-site with their studies( they make it in english language) so for us (teachers and parents) was a really pleasure to assist and hear and see what an importance they all give to all questions and answers (like they are small explorers of those applied and modern ideas in astronomy discoveries). With the astronomy workshop activities the children mediating science through new IT technology. |
