| Event Description: | I have been doing astrophotography for the past 1 year having learnt the basics in the SPACE sessions held at my school. I have been following the SPACE calendar as well as the blogs of SPACE where latest information is given. I thought that Oct 12th occultation of the star in ophichus would be easy to photograph with the Moon. I set up the camera (Nikon d60) with 180mm lens and tried to shoot the event. I could not shoot the star coming out from behind the moon as the moon by that time was very low and behind the buildings as seen from my location, but I managed to click the photo just before it went behind the moon. |
