| Event Description: | This conference was started in 1995 to promote the use of Ka Band for satellite communications by publicizing the results obtained by the Italian Space Agency’s Italsat satellites and NASA’s Advanced Communications Technology Satellite (ACTS). The conference has since evolved into a forum for the diffusion of satellite design, technology, and applications in the fields of broadband communications, satellite-aided navigation and earth observation, the areas that have benefited mankind the most and provided the highest commercial payback. |
