| Event Description: | 1) Students of grade 7 will do the activity in school in groups, each group will be given different topic related to THE MOON. Students will make modals, charts, power point presentations on the following topics. [ Is the moon shrinking, phases of moon, myths and beliefs related to moon, solar and lunar eclipse, role of moon in formation of tides, Lunar missions, chandrayaan video clips, Movies made on moon, Geology and formation of moon, India's journey to moon, Apollo 11 followed by group presentation for students of other classes in the auditorium. Exhibition will be organised and all the modals, charts will be exhibited for the parents, teachers, students. 2) Creative writing by Grade 6 , in one section students will make various drawings related to Universe and then based on that they will be asked to write poem, slogan, story etc in Hindi, thereby integrating space science with Language. In another section of grade 6. Using their imagination, students will make the image of the moon representing it with its own colour specifying the reason for their choice. 3) Rocket launching experiments by grade 6 using different materials like Tea bag, balloon, bottles to launch their rockets. Bulletin board will be decorated by displaying charts based on rockets. For conducting experiments students will be taken outside on the playground. |

| Report on the Results: | 1) Students enthusiastically participated in decorating the bulletin board. Modals, charts were displayed and students confidently explained their presentation.It was attended by the parents, teachers, students from other sections.Everyone appreciated the efforts put in by the students and were impressed by their knowledge.People also improved their awareness related to the moon and other exhibits displayed. 2) Students demonstrated their rocket launching experiments in the class and students from other classes were invited and improve their understanding. The article related to the exhibition was published in the newspaper to encourage students. 3) Creative writing by the students were displayed on the main entrance and was special since we integrated Universe with Hindi. It was eye catching and at the same time informative. |
