Event Description:  3 Events (Watch Live ISS Return, Near Future of Manned Space Lecture and Space Documentaries) Watch Live the return of the crew of the ISS When: October 3 at 13:30 (1:30 PM) Where: The Cosmonautics Museum, Conference Hall (Prospekt Mira, 111). Visitors will see the crew returning from the International Space Station live together with our museum’s scientists. The Soyuz MS-12 spacecraft will return to Earth with Roscosmos cosmonaut Alexei Ovchinin, NASA astronaut Nick Haig and UAE astronaut Hazza al-Mansuri. Landing is planned 145 km from Zhezkazgan at 13.59 Moscow time on October 3. -------------- The Near Future of Manned Space (Lecture) When: October 3 at 19:00 Where: The Cosmonautics Museum, Conference Hall (Prospekt Mira, 111). Humans have not flown to the moon since 1972. However, today Roscosmos, NASA and other space agencies plan to go back with manned missions. But why? Why do we need the moon, if we want to fly to Mars? At this lecture given but esteemed science journalist Dmitry Oliferovich “Lunar Race 2.0: Earth — Moon — Mars” you will learn about the near future of manned space exploration, and why we are doing it. Dmitry Oliferovich, is an advocate for manned space exploration, a member of the Youth section of the Russian Federation of Cosmonautics and the founder of the Blackfieldspace public. Entrance is covered by a ticket to the museum! -------------- Watch documentary space films When: October 4 and 5 (Time varies please see website).
