Event Name:  The first scientific and practical conference
Event Description:  October 4, 2019 in St. Petersburg at the Educational and Exhibition Center “Museum of Cosmonautics and Rocket Technology named after V.P. Glushko” the first All-Russian scientific and practical conference “Glushkov Readings” will be held, dedicated to the memory and development of the legacy of the creator of the domestic rocket engine, twice Hero Socialist labor, laureate of the Lenin and State Prizes of the USSR, academician Valentin Petrovich Glushko. The organizers of the first Glushkov readings are the State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg, the Museum of the History of Cosmonautics and Rocket Technology. V. P. Glushko, Baltic State Technical University "VOENMEH" named after D.F. Ustinova and the North-West Interregional Public Organization of the Cosmonautics Federation of the Russian Federation. The first Readings will be attended by students, cadets of specialized universities from St. Petersburg, Voronezh, Moscow and Samara, students from secondary educational institutions, representatives of space-themed museums from St. Petersburg, Yaroslavl, Moscow, specialists of the NP Energomash named after VP Glushko, veterans and popularizers of astronautics. Yuri Vladimirovich Usachev, pilot-cosmonaut Hero of Russia, will become an honorary participant in the first Glushkov readings. The program of the first scientific and practical conference includes a plenary session dedicated to the legacy of V.P. Glushko and the work of 2 sections: on rocket and space technology and engine building; and museum education and collaboration. Preliminary order of the day of the conference: 9:30 - 10:00 - registration of participants 10:00 - 12:00 - the first plenary meeting (opening of the conference). 12:00 - 13:00 - viewing the exposition of the Museum of the History of Cosmonautics and the exhibition "Test of Time"; coffee break. 13:00 - 16:30 - meeting of the sections of the conference; 16:30 - 17:00 - coffee break; 17:00 - 18:30 - closing plenary meeting, completion of the conference.
