| Event Name: | Space Model Competition |
| Event Description: | In continuation of the World Space Week celebrations being held at the Institute of Space Technology, Islamabad, a Space Model Display Competition will be held at the IST premises on October 6, 2011. Twenty schools are participating in the event. The models will be displayed in the main lobby of IST. Judges will choose the first, second and third award winners on the criteria of novelty of idea and practicality of the model. |

| Report on the Results: | The Institute of Space Technology, Islamabad (IST) is celebrating the World Space Week in coordination with the United Nations Charter. In this regard, a Space Model Display Competition was held at the IST premises on October 6, 2011. Twenty schools participated in the event. The Models were displayed in the main lobby of the IST and a large number of people visited the stalls displaying the models and appreciated the innovative ideas depicted in the models prepared by the students. The students explained the models with confidence and by providing scientific evidence. It was difficult for the judges to choose the best model as all of them were excellently engineered. The first second and third prize went to The City School Capital capus Girls Section (H/8), Islamabad Model College For Girls I 9/ 1, and Jinnah Education System , Gulshan Colony Taxila respectively. |
