| Report on the Results: | On 7th October 2011 Friday, the closing ceremony of World Space Week 2011 held at UET Peshawar. Starting from the inauguration on 4th October, through out the week, there were different events planned like Seminars, Water Rocket Competition, Space Quiz, Posters & Model making competition, declamation contest and space walk. The ambition was to give awareness to the general people about the importance of Space Technology for the socio-economic uplift of the nation. Air Commodore (R) Arshad Hussain Siraj, Secretary SUPARCO was the Chief Guest of the closing ceremony. The prizes were given to the winners of the different contests conducted during the week. The chief guest thanked the Vice chancellor for successfully holding the event at UET Peshawar and presented a shield of memorandum. At this occasion the VC UET Peshawar stressed on the active role of the public sector R&D organization with the academia. |
