| Event Description: | A two day Space Fair event will be conducted from 1500-1800 hrs at Gulshan-e-Iqbal park Lahore. Space Fair is the vital part of World Space Week activities which is celebrated from 4th to 10th October every year. The motive of this event is to create awareness among the public about the activities of SUPARCO and role of space technology in our daily life. The Space Fair shall be celebrated for two days. Following activities shall be held: 1- Water rocket Demonstration 2- Water rocket Competition 3- Model Making competition 4- Fancy Dress Show 5- SUPARCO Stall 6- SUPARCO Documentary Stall 7- Seismic simulator stall by KSS(Khwarizmi Science Society) 8- ATM-Amateur telescope making Stall by KSS(Khwarizmi Science Society) 9- Crater making stall by KSS(Khwarizmi Science Society) 10- English Biscuit Manufacturers stall On the first day of Family Fair Water Rocket Demonstration shall be carried out whereas competition shall be conducted on second day. Rest other activities shall be carried out on both days. |

| Report on the Results: | The event enjoyed a great number of spectators who showed their interest in almost all the activities. SUPARCO stall showed the SUPARCO’s public services like in agriculture or disaster management. Models of Satellite were a source of inspiration for the spectators. Seeing everything in physical form made it easy for them to develop a perception about Space. Model making was itself a great and successful show which attracted the audience and brought excitement for the Students who had to explain their models about space to lay men. Kids and parents actively participated in the Fancy dress show and they were given cute little prizes as well. English Biscuit manufacturers provided some refreshment for the audience. Crux of the show was the Water rocket Competition. KSS also established their stalls of seismic simulator, crater making and ATM which were quite educative and new for audience. |
