| Event Description: | Time: 13:00-14:00 CET The Bremen Local Group of Women In Aerospace Europe (WIA-E Bremen LG) is happy to invite you to join the online webinar "Interpretation of Optical Satellite Images: An Overview" During this talk, Dr. Sabrina Melchionna will give an overview on optical satellite images interpretation. She will conduct you in a travel through vision, classification techniques, and image composition, to let you discover how remote sensing scientists transform optical satellite images in assets for farming, forestry, and urban monitoring, because a satellite image is more than just a spectacular photo. About the speaker: Dr. Sabrina Melchionna, founder of the company "Melchionna Remote Sensing", is a physicist, specialized in Satellite data analysis for Earth Observation and passionate in the elaborated procedures of SAR data processing and interpretation. She has 15 years of professional experience in: - radar satellite (SAR) data calibration and processing; - segmentation and classification of optical and hyperspectral satellite imagery; - development of algorithms for data analysis of ground based weather- and cloud- radar.
