Today, the number of exoplanets discovered by humans is in the thousands, and their species’ diversity is amazing. Hot gas giants and cold mini-copies of Neptune, the worlds of the oceans and super-earths, turning around their stars of various sizes or floating freely in space. What do they represent, how do scientists find them, whether life exists on such bodies, and what it can be like? You will find the answers to these and many other questions in the book “The Mysteries of Space. Planets and exoplanets”. The book is published in the popular science series “Gutenberg Libraries”, AST Publishing House, and it is aimed at a wide range of readers. The author of the book is Andrey Murachev, a 30-year-old scientist, graduate of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (Department of Space Research and Department of Theoretical Mechanics), and researcher at the Higher School of Theoretical Mechanics SPbPU.
