Report on the Results:  Another year of great discoveries and fantastic improvement in technology and human understanding of the Universe has passed. Still we are constantly wondering… `Are we alone in the Universe? Is there life on other planets?` The children of School Gheorghe Titeica, in Constanta, Romania have been involved in various activities to celebrate the special occasion of space week. There were eight classes involved in this project with ages between 6 and 14. They were extremely interested in searching and discovering some secrets of the Universe in the school library, under the supervision of librarian Anca Mosoiu and their class teachers, Marioara Gospodin, Paraschiva Alecu, Mirela Cotoarba, Victorita Scriosteanu, Veronica Hagi, or in the schoolyard, where they had some contests under the coordination of the sports teacher Alexandra Mocanu and the school librarian Anca Mosoiu. The English teacher Adina Netedu also took part in the presentation of different materials in the school library and the translation of them, during the various activities. The youngest students of preparatory grade E were presented some films and cartoons about the Solar System in the school library and they were also questioned about the most important planets and stars. Librarian Anca Mosoiu showed them lots of pictures and models of planets, which they later reproduced with play dough, under the coordination of Marioara Gospodin, their class teacher. The students of the first grade were also thrilled to take part in the contests in the schoolyard. There were two classes involved, grade I B coordinated by teacher Paraschiva Alecu and grade I D, with teacher Mirela Cotoarba. The two classes were presented pictures of the planets in our Solar System, while at the same time they were tested with questions about the Universe and most specifically comets, planets and stars. There was a follow up with two sports games which the children of the first grade highly enjoyed held with the help of the sports teacher Alexandra Mocanu : Throw the comet!; Jump on the planets! The third grade students of class III D were brought to the school library and shown films and presentations about the Universe with the participation of the English teacher Adina Netedu. They were asked to design masks of extraterrestrial creatures, aliens that are supposed to live on other planets. They were helped and coordinated by their class teacher Victorita Scriosteanu and librarian Anca Mosoiu. Another group, the students of class IV A, coordinated by their class teacher Anca Medesan made collages and models of spaceships of hardboard and paper in an attempt to get accustomed to the secrets of the Universe and life in outer space. The sixth grade pupils of classes VI C and VI D were also excited to participate in our project with computer presentations, documentaries on life in space and also a 3D model of The Milky Way. The Physics teacher Dorina Foroglu helped them with information, suggestions and tips. Students in the eighth grade, from class VIII B were more independent and creative, making presentations and exhibitions of personal photographs of the moon. Students Mihai Cazacincu, Carlo Dudnicenco and Yosef Zaheer created a wonderful space model using graffiti spray and white foam. They also made essays and compositions in French under the coordination of the French teacher Veronica Hagi. All the children taking part in the activities were awarded diplomas and prizes.
