| Event Description: | WSW celebrations will formally commence with an exuberant inauguration ceremony held by Pakistan Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) at National Center for Remote Sensing & Geo Informatics (NCRG) Karachi. The ceremony will include exhibition of different satellite and rocket models, along with space application posters display. |

| Report on the Results: | Inaugural Ceremony was held in NCRG Auditorium on 4th October, 2013.The chief guest for the event was Prof. Dr.Atta-Ur-Rahman former chairman of Higher Education Commission (HEC) and currently working as Patron-in-chief for International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences. His presence was great honor for us. Chief Guest was welcomed by chairman SUPARCO in front of the NCRG auditorium. Dr. Said Rahman, GM, ES Dte represent Bouquet to chief guest. Event was started with Recitation of few ayat-e-mubaraka from The Holy Quran. The opening speech was delivered by Chairman SUPARCO. Chairman SUPACO highlighted the importance of space science and technology and the recognition SUPARCO obtained by celebrating WSW. Chairman highlighted that we should work for the development of space science, technology and applications throughout the year. The chief guest delivered a very informative lecture on application of space technology, Nano technology and other vast fields of space sciences. Chairman SUPARCO represented a Souvenir to chief guest. Chief Guest and chairman SUPARCO visited the posters display and voted for the best poster. Chief Guest and Chairman SUPARCO had a brief interaction with media and later on inaugurated space Education Bus. |
