| Event Description: | Closing Ceremony night was the last of the events held during the World Space Week. This ceremony was arranged to end the world space week in an elegant manner with all the Abbasia Campus of Islamia University Bahawalpur lighted with candles. |

| Report on the Results: | Prof Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, Vice chancellor Islamia University Bahawalpur,District Police Officer Bahwalpur and Commissioner Bahawalpur were present on the closing ceremony. Mr. Muhammad Iqbal Rao, DDG SRDC-L also graced the occasion. The parents of prize winning students were also invited to attend this fascinating night. The Ceremony was held at the lawns of Abbasia Campus and conducted well with the planned schedule. A big model of the solar system was displayed at one corner of the lawn which showed keen interest of the university management in space and collaboration with SUPARCO. The ceremony began with the display of videos related to SUPARCO .The Audience showed immense interest in the documentaries and appreciated them with warm applause. The people of the academia were pleased to know that National Space agency has achieved this far in the field of Space Sciences. In the end the Vice Chancellor made a speech in appreciation of SUPARCO and its achievements and cherished the SUPARCO team for organizing such a big event at Islamia University Bahawalpur. At the end of the ceremony appreciation for the World Space Week team was made by calling out the names and shields were presented to them for their contribution in organizing world space week thus officially closing the World Space Week 2013. |
