| Event Description: | With a partner from Čakovec and many more partners from Croatia, Turkey, Serbia and Italy, I have started an eTwinning project "Women in Space". | Report on the Results: | On 4th October 40 participants from Croatia attended a lecture given by a female teacher Danijela Takač. On 5th October 30 participants from Croatia attended a lecture given by a female astrophysicist Vernesa Smolčić. On 6th October 14 students watched the movie "Hidden figures". On 7th October all students and teachers of our school could have watched the exhibition of students' posters about Women in Space - so there could have been 300 viewers. On 8th October there were around 150 students with their teachers watching the presentation of our students about Women in Space they have explored. On 11th October, there was a radio show where we talked about our project "Women in Space" and about our marking the World Space Week. In months after that event, we have marked the International Day of Women and Girls in Science with: - an exhibition of greeting cards for that day which we exchanged with our project's partners - a field trip to Zagreb (we visited Marija Jurić Zagorka Memorial Apartment, Nikola Tesla Technical Museum, Zagreb Observatory) - a drama performance of Marie Curie's life (written and played by students who participate in project Women in Space) - a video made out of interviews with women and girls that have finished studying in our school and continued their education in STEM field Video about our STEM Women and of our drama performance is uploaded to YouTube. |
