| Report on the Results: | Fr.F.Francis Sebastian, Founder and Director of Sigaram inaugurated the World Space Week 2013 celebrations. Shri. Arul Jerald Prakash, Director of Science and Technology center, Trivandrum delivered a special address on space and space research. Godwin Jinu, Dean of Sigaram organized a video show on space research especially Indian Space Research Organization followed by competitions were organized. The program was organized at three centres of sigaram, Nagercoil, Mulagumoodu and Marthandam. 55 students participated in art competition, 150 students participated in quiz competition, 60 students participated in essay competition.Students expressed their space knowledge through the competitions. On 6th october sigaram students participated in a teleconference with Austrian space forum and German rover team. Mr. Robert from German rover team explained about space research especially rover mission, then ten of our students asked questions. It was a wonderful and amazing experience for our students and it enriched the knowledge of space. In view of the space week our students will go to Science center, museum and planetarium at Thiruvananthapuram. It will be a exposure program and students can explore and learn a lot about space. The news was published in regional daily newspapers such as Dinamalar, Dinamani, Dinathanthi, Dinakaran, Kumari murasu. We shared all the events in our facebook page, group and account. |
