| Event Description: | Calling all young people, teachers and educators of Earth – there’s a new creative education resource by Triple Double and it’s quite literally out of this world! Triple Double are challenging young people to create 1x outer-space, Intergalactic Athlete, in whatever medium they choose. The Intergalactic Athletes story: So, research shows sport on Earth is returning back to ‘normal-normal’. But in outer space, Intergalactic Athletes are competing as usual in their various sport seasons. Word has leaked. Throughout the galaxies we know about, but also those that we don’t, an Intergalactic Dream Team is being formed to challenge athletes already available here on Earth – for the ultimate solar system championship. But are Earth's Cristiano Ronaldos, Serena Williams’, LeBron James’ and Megan Rapinoes going to be enough? The race is now on for young people of Earth, to create their own Intergalactic Athletes to compete in this ultimate match. About the resource: Intergalactic Athletes is an online creative education resource – free to use – suitable for teachers and educators delivering within curriculum and for young people to take part individually. With simple-to-follow curriculum lesson plans and classroom resources, designed in collaboration with teacher and designer Jack Andrews from Simon Balle School, Hertford, UK, the resource is classroom (or at home) ready for Key Stages 3 & 4. Suitable for young people aged 11-16. Young people taking part individually outside of curriculum can use the video brief, online resources and guides. “Intergalactic Athletes allows students to embrace a creative journey that has no boundaries.
