| Event Description: | The Space sector has become an essential part of our daily lives - whether you realise it or not. The technology developed and operated by the UK’s highly skilled workforce underpins countless aspects of the UK’s economy and as it grows, it seeks new skills, knowledge and expertise. Over two days, selected businesses and universities from across parts of the South East are invited to come together to learn about and explore different collaboration opportunities. This is about Careers, Innovation, R&D, Curiosity and ultimately, Skills. This event is organised by the Surrey Hampshire Space Hub, in collaboration with the South Coast Centre of Excellence in Satellite Applications, and the Satellite Applications Catapult. It will feature leading universities across the region, including the University of Portsmouth, University of Reading, Solent University, University of Southampton and University of Surrey. Objective: To provide undergraduate / postgraduate students and graduates with a breadth of opportunities to access the space sector, either as part of their curriculum or as a professional experience to help launch their career in the Space sector. |
