| Event Name: | Mileva Space Week |
| Event Description: | To celebrate World Space Week, Mileva Philippines aims to organize a week-long activity promoting scientific knowledge regarding space exploration, general astronomy, and concepts related to space through activities shared on social media. This will allow students to share their passion for space and examine our journeys of discovery beyond Earth. Our three sub-events are Astrono-meme Digital Meme Making Contest, Space-tok in a Minute Video Challenge, and a Webinar. The Astrono-Meme Digital Meme Making Contest aims to promote scientific knowledge by creating a witty meme using an existing/original template regarding space exploration, general astronomy, and concepts related to space through digital memes shared on social media. Contestants are required to submit their work not later than October 4, 12:00 noon PHT. The Space-Tok in a Minute Video Challenge aims to promote scientific knowledge by creating a 3-minute (maximum) Tik Tok Video explaining any topic in the field of space and astronomy. This will allow students to effectively communicate concepts regarding space exploration, general astronomy, and concepts related to space through social media. Contestants are required to submit their work not later than October 4, 12:00 noon PHT. Mileva Philippines will also be organizing a webinar to be held during the culminating event on October 9, 2021, 1-3pm PHT. Speakers from all over the country will give presentations and talk about their chosen career paths, their inspirations in working in the field, and the importance of space exploration and education. |
