| Event Description: | Women in Space Aotearoa New Zealand (WISANZ) is excited to announce our Pathways to Space event series – providing inspiration and information on space careers in New Zealand to high school and tertiary students at events in Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington in October and November 2022. At Pathways to Space events, students will learn about the types of jobs and careers in the New Zealand space sector - across space science and space industry – and the types of training or study courses they could undertake in Aotearoa to help them get their dream space job. They’ll also hear about ‘a day in the life’ of women role models working in a range of different space jobs in New Zealand and have an opportunity to ask them any questions about what they do and their different pathways to get there. These events are a great opportunity for students who are excited about space, or even just a bit curious – as well as their supporting whanau or friends - to learn more about space career opportunities in Aotearoa New Zealand. The WISANZ team are working with some fantastic partners to bring the Pathways to Space event series to life. including the New Zealand Space Agency, Te Pūnaha Ātea - Space Institute, ChristchurchNZ, BNZ, Victoria University of Wellington, Tātaki Auckland Unlimited, JIX and Dawn Aerospace. We can’t wait to announce even more great partners in the coming weeks. Pathways to Space events are open to all high school and tertiary students and supporting whanau or friends. Spaces are limited due to venue size, so secure your ticket as soon as possible to avoid missing out! |
