Event Name:  World Space Week 2022
Event Description:  We plan on making this event the most enjoyable one of the semester. We are planning on decorating all of the University area, especially the green benches and make it look like a dream come true for those impelled by space. We shall be installing banners, distributing flyers, displaying the work of our artists and much more. Our décor team is really enthusiastic to put their part in this event. Moreover, we’ll also be inviting students of different universities to participate in the event and make it more exciting while extending the horizon of astronomical knowledge. Seminar: Seminar will be conducted on campus. We will be inviting some renowned personalities as our guest speakers who will also be entertaining all queries regarding Astronomy. Space Quiz: An interactive quiz will be conducted from the audience that’ll create an open environment for everyone. Moreover a gift hamper will be given to the winner. WSW Theme Presentation: There would be a small 10-15 minutes presentation regarding the current topic ‘Space Sustainability’ of World Space Week 2022. Galactic Treasure Hunt: We will be organizing a scavenger hunt with the alien theme in which the students will have to find different clues spread all across the campus and the winning team would be awarded a cash prize

Report on the Results:  The World Space Week was organized in Air University by Air Astronomical Society. We invited different speakers to talk about Space Sustainability/Space Outreach and Our future in Space. The notable speakers were Iftekhar Yezdani (CEO of Rah-e-Qamar), Mr. Wehaaj (Researcher on Space programs and technology) and Zara Fatima (One of the youngest Pakistanis to represent the Country in different foreign Space Aegencies). Our Chief guest was Mr Ammar Jaffri (The CEO of IOT Center Pakistan). Moreover, we also organized a fun game called Treasure Hunt for the students to make the event more exciting. It had a story of how an alien had to crash land on earth due to the collision of its spaceship with space debris. The teams had to find the alien through the clues. The game consisted of different clues spread across the campus which the teams had to solve and find. 90+ teams registered, many were from other universities too such as Bahria, NDU, COMSATS and FAST. The winning team was given a prize.
