| Event Description: | Students learn about the planets in the solar system and required to plan a space mission for a month. They plan their trip and discover an imaginery planet. The students are also required to introduce their new planet with specific qualities.The activity will start on October 4 and will continue for two weeks (40 min.X 4 lessons) |

| Report on the Results: | My students aged 11-13 took part in the following activities during the WSW: -Brainstorming about solar system -Named and ordered the planets -Talked about the coldest, hottest, biggest and smallest planets. -Drew an image of their dream planet and gave specific information with a pre designed worksheet. -Voted for the best design -Winners were awarded with WSW badges received from GUHEM. -Designed an imaginary alien and introduced it to classmates with a short oral presentation. -Planned "a month space mission trip" on a ready worksheet discussing the primary needs. -Played educational game "Pecha Kucha" on space theme. The activities were really engaging for students and they were eager to implement more tasks on the theme. It was also pleasing to see some of them plans to be an astronaut in the future:) We are eager to join WSW for the following years with more creative activities. |
