| Event Name: | World Space Week Celebration |
| Event Description: | Space Origami: Space objects made out of paper are a fun way to explore the cosmos. Origami requires hand-eye coordination, develops fine-motor skills and supports mental concentration, this helps in the overall development of kids along with sensitizing them towards various celestial objects in space all the way creating a keen interest in the subject. (Daily during WSW) Model Rocketry workshop: Rockets are vehicles that carry the satellites and other payloads into space. With time the design and capacity of the rockets have evolved. To understand the basic working of a rocket and to appreciate the importance of the role of rocket in space science and astronomy, a model rocketry workshop will be conducted for school students wherein they will understand the underlying principles of a rocket. (any one day during WSW) Painting Competition: A painting competition on the theme of: “Space explorations of the future” will be conducted at RSC Bhavnagar campus. This will broaden the horizons of imagination and foster the curiosity amongst the students to know more about space and the celestial objects. (Daily during WSW) Interactive session with expert: An interactive session with an expert in astronomy will help the students learn about the importance of Space Science and Technology and guide them to build a career in this field and to venture in the field of space enterpreneurship.(any one day during WSW) Documentary Screening: RSC Bhavnagar has a spacious auditorium with a seating capacity of 200 persons. During the whole week, documentaries will be screened related to the achievements of mankind in the field of space science and technology. (Daily during WSW) |
