| Event Name: | Preventing Climate Change with Space Technologies |
| Event Description: | Participants: This event will be held with the participation of 8th grade students (age group 14) Aim of the event: With this event, we will enable students to learn the effects of space technologies on our daily lives and to produce ideas on how space technologies can be used to prevent climate change. Duration: 2 class hours (40 + 40 min) Step 1: Students will watch the "World Space Week for Kids" video to draw attention to the subject. Video Youtube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJpnd1K-xOQ Step 2: Students will be divided into groups (maximum 5 students in each group). Each group will explore augmented reality and space technologies using the Space 4D application and cards with a tablet or smartphone. Step 3: Student groups will observe space technologies in a virtual reality environment with VR glasses. Step 3: Student groups will conduct research on how space technologies can be used to prevent climate change (from the internet and other sources). They will then produce their own creative ideas to prevent climate change using space technologies. Step 4: Each group will prepare a presentation using Canva using their creative ideas and present it in class. |
