| Event Description: | We have designated an entire wall in our office as a collaborative mural to explore the theme of Space Week 2008 Exploring the Universe. Students will be asked to contribute their work that will go into making a huge space mural. In addition we are running an art competition in conjunction with a major childrens magazine with submissions coming from all over Malaysia. We will set up a special gallery of works with prizes for the best efforts. |

| Report on the Results: | On Friday the 10th evening a group of Aerospace Club members gathered at my office in Kuala Lumpur. Armed with paint, brushes and crayons they tackled an entire wall in one of the classrooms at Aerosapce Education Services headquarters. Firstly the participants were asked to prepare designs with the theme of exploring the universe and then transfer their designs to large cardboard posters. Meanwhile other participants commenced painting the wall. A beautiful rendition of earth was added with myriads of stars and galaxies. Eventually the entire wall turned into a spectacular space scene. Finally students will add there posters to the wall to finalize the event next Friday (we had to call it quits by 2230). The comment of the evening came from one of our youngest participants 6 year old Natasha who said I could kiss the Universe. Pictures will be uploaded shortly. |
