Event Description: | World Space Week is the world's largest annual space-related event that aims to educate the public about space activities and promote international cooperation in space awareness and education. World Space Week is celebrated in more than 90 countries around the world. A corner was set up at the 10th Secondary School in Al-Malaz, affiliated with the Malaz Office in Riyadh, containing articles and models about space, the solar system, satellites, a space rocket, and videos displayed on an interactive screen talking about space and its impact on climate change, astronauts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Kingdom’s role in achieving Vision 2030 to travel into space and launch the first flight of astronauts Rayana Al-Barnawi and Ahmed Al-Qarni in the year The Kingdom recorded an important historical event with this mission, by sending the first Saudi Arab Muslim female astronaut, Rayana Barnawi, and the second Saudi male astronaut, Ali Al-Qarni, to the International Space Station at an altitude of 408 kilometers above the Earth’s surface, and this mission lasted 10 |
