Event Description:  **Space Week Activation Report at Primary School in Medina** **Date:** October 10, 2024 **Location:** Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Primary School **Overview:** The primary school in Medina celebrated Space Week with a series of fun and educational activities aimed at sparking curiosity and excitement about space among young students. The week-long event was designed to engage children in the wonders of the universe while promoting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) learning in an interactive and playful environment. **Objectives:** 1. To introduce students to basic space science concepts. 2. To foster an interest in astronomy and space exploration. 3. To encourage creativity and teamwork through space-themed activities. **Activities:** 1. **Space Exploration Presentations:** Teachers gave age-appropriate presentations about planets, stars, and astronauts. The talks were interactive, with students encouraged to ask questions and share their thoughts. Videos from NASA’s space missions were shown to give the kids a real sense of space exploration. 2. **Astronaut Role Play:** Students participated in an "Astronaut Day," where they dressed up in astronaut costumes. They took part in mock space missions, solving problems related to space travel, such as "landing on the moon" or "fixing a spaceship." 3. **Art and Craft Workshops:** Children were given the opportunity to create their own rocket models and space helmets using recycled materials. This activity was not only fun but also emphasized the importance of sustainability. 4. **Stargazing Night:** The highlight of Space Week was a stargazing event held in the schoolyard. Telescopes were set up, and children, along with their parents, got the chance to observe the moon and stars. Local astronomers were invited to guide them and explain celestial objects in the night sky. 5. **Space Quiz Competition:** A fun and educational quiz about space facts was held, where students competed in teams. This encouraged teamwork and a healthy sense of competition. **Results:** - Students showed increased enthusiasm for science, particularly space and astronomy. - Teachers observed a marked improvement in students' curiosity, with many asking questions and expressing interest in learning more about space. - Parents praised the school for providing such an engaging and educational experience for their children. **Conclusion:** The Space Week at the primary school in Medina was a huge success. It not only educated the children about space but also ignited a spark of curiosity and excitement that will hopefully inspire future generations of scientists and explorers. The school looks forward to making this an annual event, building on the success of this year's program. **Recommendations for Next Year:** - Introduce more advanced workshops for older students. - Invite guest speakers from the space industry. - Include more hands-on experiments, such as building and launching mini rockets. **Prepared by:** School Administration Team Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Primary School
