| Event Description: | Students used Gnomon Base and Rod to find Geographical North and used the Sundial to find the local time.They also got the information of cardinal directions and Reference points. All students enjoyed the session. |

| Report on the Results: | School students today got to know the method of finding time and directions without using Watch and Compass. Students were made understand the difference between the Reference Points and Cardinal Directions. They also did and experiment of 45 minutes in which they found the Local Noon with the help of Shortest Shadow Method. They realized the difference between the magnetic directions and Geographical Directions. After finding the Geographic North participants used Sundial to find their Local Time of Ludhiana. They were also made understand the equation of time. They also got to know about IST during the session. |
